Adeel talks about his personal experiences of being diagnosed with BPD and the impact this had on his relationships. Psychotherapy helped him learn self management and to reflect about how BPD was affecting his self identity and relationships. Through reflection, comes integration and Adeel learned to stop being the person he thought others wanted him to be, and to begin to know 'he was enough.' He recommends that we 'listen to what our mind and body are saying and take time for ourselves.' He ends with a positive message to explore ways to experience validation, and that for him therapy was a way to start.
